The final report of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) mentioned EISA as being one of the two international NGOs that played a front line role in the success of the electoral processes.
The evaluation workshop held by EISA was attended by authorities from all provinces and was well publicised in the media, showing the interest for the work done by the office.
EISA Burundi also assisted the CENI in drawing up a voting centre map of Bujumbura, printing 150 sets of the city voting centres. These maps were distributed to international observers to enable them to find their way to voting stations as no complete maps were available. The concept for this map came out of the experience of the constitutional referendum observation when observers found it difficult to move around the city.
